Food Crisis? One insect extinction away from Famine and Starvation here in America?

In the past two years since I retired and have the time to be out and about so much more. I have noticed one essential thing missing from my property and surrounding lands. Yes I have not seen a Honeybee in years, then this year I have seen a drastic decline in my Bumble Bee population. What would happen to us if they vanished is a huge concern for all of us. Can we all help them to make a comeback, is it not to late? I do hope not.
