In 1903, Spiritualism swept through the Seventh day Adventist Movement. It began with J. H. Kellogg and went through the leading departments including the educational arm. It was so pervasive and dangerous that the prophet described it as a looming iceberg. It shook the entire church and cost the organization its printing facility and a hospital. The immediate effects of the alpha was on the church. The Omega will effect the entire world and will, like the alpha, have its origin in leadership. "Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature." {SpTB02 16}
