90 MINUTE CROCHET | CROCHETING: Teal Shawl Scarf #1 | MUSIC - Bright|Calm|Inspirational|Happy I was gonna be crocheting regardless so why not record?

My mother had this in her yarn stash and so the other day, when I saw it, I was like why don't I make her a scarf for the season? So I told her I was going to and she was like, cool. The one thing she did ask me to do was not do it all tight and thick. Generally I like to crochet things tight with one or two stitches, almost like a fabric.

Taking that into account I crocheted a bunch of windows/holes in this free design pattern. Just going with the flow, my aim was to make the scarf as long as my wing span. To that end my foundation chain was loosely done to exceed that length with the expectation (from it generally happening) that upon completion of my foundation/first row the length would decrease. While I'm sure that was the case I might have gone overboard with length. Oh well, all the more luscious.

In these 90 mins you see me crochet a foundation chain, a foundation/first row (single stitch), and a third line/row (half double stitch). I'm using an F hook (3.75mm) and I wish I could tell you the yarn size for sure (probably a 3, possibly a 4) but I don't think the wrapper is around anymore.

*At the very end you see me start the next row I do this to anchor and secure the row (half double) I completed prior.*

And I haven't measured the length yet, but for reference I'm just about 5'10".
