Johnson County Youth Net

Johnson County Youth Net If this video I talk with Isaac, KG5LOP, and Cody, KG5TZX. Isaac started a youth net here in my home area of Johnson County Texas about three years ago. Last year, Cody got his license and started helping him do net control. While the net is still primarily adults hat check in, they are slowly but surely starting to get more youth checking in. During the net when I did this interview, they had several people check in on the Echolink node that is connected to this Repeater. There was checkins from Las Vegas, Knoxville and a couple other places from around the US.

If you have a youth that would like to check in on their net, whether they are licensed or not(with a licensed amateur as the net control of course), you can connect to the Repeater on Echolink by searching for N5ADA. The net is every Sunday evening at 6:30pm Central time.

This video starts a series of videos I am planning on doing this month dealing with youth in the hobby. Please help me by sharing this video with your friends and of amateurs to help get more youth into the hobby.
