The Chase: Mark Labbett enrages fans with incorrect Game of Thrones assessment

The Chase: Mark Labbett enrages fans with incorrect Game of Thrones assessment The Chase host Bradley Walsh thought he had the chaser - Mark Labbett - on the ropes today, as he took on four new contestants. Although his contestants didn’t do excellently, Bradley’s players did well in taking the Beast down a peg or two with some correct questions. One question in particular, though, left viewers a little perplexed after the Beast gave an explanation to it. The question involved a language-learning app which included a fictional language from a TV show. The correct answer was in fact High Valyrian, from the HBO show Game of Thrones. When contestant Sophie got the question wrong, Mark explained the language involved words such as: “Dracarys literally means flame.” But viewers were quick to point out Mark’s incorrect definition, as they pointed out Dracarys means something slightly different - dragonfire. One viewer tweeted: “‘Dracarys literally means flame for the dragon.’ “Erm hate to break it to you Mark but it doesn't. It actually means dragonfire. #TheChase.” Another viewer posted a Google search which read: “The High Valyrian word ‘Dracarys’ has become a sort of catchphrase for Dany [Emilia Clarke]. READ MORE: The Chase viewers in turmoil as Paul Sinha blunder means contestants win £75,000  “It literally means ‘dragonfire’ and it’s the word she uses to command her dragons to breathe fire.” Earlier this week fans hit out at Bradley for accepting a “wrong” answer. During the final chase Bradley asked what sort of kitchen appliance a Nutri Bullet was. Anne quickly answered: “Juicer,” before stopping to correct herself and say: “Blender!” Bradley accepted the second answer as it was correct, but fans of the show were not happy he didn’t accept the first answer she gave - the incorrect answer: “Juicer”.  The crowd began lashing out on Twitter, with one writing: “It’s a blender… not a juicer!! #TheChase.” Another wrote: “How can they accept ‘it’s a juicer no blender’ on the chase… surely gotta accept the first answer #thechase.” A third said: “Juicer? It's a blender and that was her second answer. Brad you cad! #TheChase.” One commented: “She said juicer first… wrong it’s a blender I demand an enquiry #TheChase.” The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
