It was a pretty complicated job. The trolling motor requires 3 Group 31 Batteries and they were housed in the Head with a custom vented battery box being built by Jack Kohut, with the porta John sitting right on top of it, to house two of the batteries. The trolling motor itself sits on a custom built and painted 1/4 aluminum plate and is super easy to deploy and stow. It's controlled by a state of art iPilot remote.
The Terrova is a thing of beauty and as you'll see, it held us tight on a fairly windy day. We only took advantage of the spot lock mode on this day but come Spring, it will be great to use the track mode feature when drifting for fluke. The days of power drifting are over as the trolling motor will allow us set a course and the boat will follow that course. This will be a real game changer on days where we are dealing with wind against tide.
