Today, I am sharing the prerequisite courses you need to take while in college or during a post baccalaureate program before entering medical school. Most medical schools require these courses/classes, but not all of them do, so be sure to check the website for the medical schools you are interested in to see what courses they require before matriculation! The information taught in many of these courses is also important for the medical college admission test (MCAT). Some med schools will accept AP credit, so be sure to look out for that too! Med schools in Texas have a common application and slightly different requirements, so check out that TMDSAS website if you are applying to schools there. Courses may also be slightly different for DO (Osteopathic) schools vs MD (allopathic) schools!
