So this year, I decided to turn this format into a huge review of the most popular Instagram slime shops! I'm so amazed at how far the slime scene has evolved over the past few years. When I made my first video in 2017, there were far fewer slime textures and most stores always had items in stock. Two years later and the variety of slime has exploded and shops are offering hand-sculpted clay decor, bespoke packaging and loads of other extras. Most shops operate on a restock basis so you actually need some luck and determination to get your hands on the most coveted slimes. Here are some tips which I think should help:
1) Follow the shop on Instagram because slime restocks and new products will always be announced here first.
2) Create an account in their shop so you can check-out as fast as possible without entering your address or payment details by hand.
3) Make a note of restock date, calculate time zones if needed, and make sure you are waiting for the restock at exactly that time.
4) Get into the shop and checkout as fast as you can. You should already be familiar with the slimes from Instagram so try to resist the urge to browse which wastes precious time.
♥ Slime Textures ♥
Here's a guide (from shortest to longest) on how long a slime will stay good. This often depends on the water content, "thinner" slimes tend to deactivate quicker and turn sticky. The thicker and drier a slime is, the less likely it is to go bad. I find most cloud/jelly/butter slimes stay good for months, whereas glossy slimes will start turning sticky after a few weeks.
