Cancer is one of the world’s largest health problems, and is responsible for an estimated 9.6 million deaths in 2018. Every sixth death in the world is due to cancer, making it the second leading cause of death. The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) believes that 1 in 3 cases of cancer can be prevented,1 in 3 cases of cancers can be cured if they are diagnosed early,1 in 3 cases of cancers can relieve pain and extend life.
I made a series of videos to show the infection, mortality and survival of most cancers in each country by a simple and clear way.And it dynamically shows which indicators have made progress in the past 29 years, and which indicators have not made progress.（I use the war to make a metaphor in video）This video is about Russia.
The screen is divided into three parts:
• Left part:Show cancer infographics, the size of the circle indicates the infection proportion of different types cancer.It will dynamically change size per year.
• Middle part:Described overall situation, here are three important indicators(infection, mortality and 5-year survival),the unit is every million people annually.
• Right part:Described the 3 indicators by cancer type.the gray vertical line is the 1990 value.The red font indicates that cancer is getting worse, and another color font(by different country) indicates than human had made good progress.
(the data of 5-year survival rate is relatively special. In order to make horizontal comparison, I used statistics to forecast some indicates.)
