Amazing rescue of a juvenile Bald Eagle who was stuck in a sewage treatment pond. The technique used to rescue the bird was unproven but we had limited options as you can see in the video. Thanks to our staff and amazing volunteers for putting the rescue plan into place, and thanks to the Richmond Fire Hall #4 and The City of Richmond/Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant workers for helping us with this difficult rescue! Thanks to Cole for calling in the bird as many people wouldn't have realized the predicament the bird was in.
