One of the programs for the development of the Russian fleet for the period until 2027 involves the start of the construction of completely new fifth-generation submarines.
We are talking about the project of a submarine with hypersonic weapons on board - including with ''Zircon'' anti-ship missiles.
Work on the creation of these submarines began about 3 years ago (in 2016), received the name "Laika".
The final task is to obtain a truly multipurpose submarine with powerful weapons and low noise, extremely low radar signature for the enemy.
The multipurpose nature of the ''Laika'' program itself is that, depending on the weapons deployed, such nuclear submarines will be used to destroy submarines and to destroy large surface ships (ship groups), including aircraft carriers.
To destroy aircraft carriers, ''Laika''-class submarines will use ''Zircon'' hypersonic anti-ship cruise missiles.
There were critics of the ''Zircons'' as missiles capable of sending an enemy aircraft carrier to the bottom with a 100 percent guarantee.
These critics argue that it is not possible to send a huge aircraft carrier to the bottom using a ''Zircon'' hypersonic missile.
My dear friends, I want to say to these critics that you too radically understand the fight against aircraft carriers.

Of course not!
