The similarly somewhat radio-friendly and also music video recipient groove machine "Never A Know, But The No" features a principle droning riff that sounds like it would later be borrowed by Jerry Cantrell for Alice In Chains' "Heaven Beside You", while the generally acoustic atmosphere of the verse segment and lead breaks has all the hallmarks of Pantera's occasional stints into ballad territory, albeit minus the shoddy vocals and with a greater degree of technical guitar work to cut away any monotony, at times getting to the point where Brad Hull seems to be preempting Jon Petrucci's ascendancy as a guitar god a year later with Images And Words.

Lyrics
Staring blankly in reclusion

Heaving crippled sigh, disillusioned

I saw the look inside your eyes

Tried to smile with dignity

Filled my head with useless lies

Incapable of humanity

I'd look up to you

With pride & respect

Then turn away reflecting pain

Breeding contempt

I hear you laughing in your head

When you are right & I am wrong

Degradation never ceased

I've suffered so long...

What have I done

To deserve this?

It doesn't matter

For society will pay
