When the Ministry Of Health rolled out a new type of anti-retroviral pill that reportedly had milder side effects compared to its predecessor in 2017, it was expected that the general viral load among HIV patients would go down. However, though the rate of infection has gone down by half, adolescents still form the bulk of new infections with their ARV adherence rate posing a great danger. Laura Otieno sought to find out why this demographic still seems to bear the most burdens even with the stigma around Hiv almost fully demystified.
