Insta360 One R at Amazon: In this video I'm asking the question. If you already own a GoPro Hero8 Black or a DJI Osmo Action, should you buy an Insta360 One R for vlogging or should you wait?
So basically, you've got the GoPro Hero 8 or the DJI Osmo Action and you've bought them specifically for vlogging, not for action or sport filming. You may not be particularly happy with either camera with regard their performance for vlogging but you're desperate for that all elusive small, minimalist, pocket-able vlogging setup. Do you jump in feet first as an early adopter for the Insta360, in the hope that it betters both the GoPro Hero 8 and Osmo Action as the perfect vlogging camera? Or do you wait until the dust has settled to see how good it is.
Whether it's the Insta360 One R with the wide angle 4K sensor/lens module, the 1 inch 5.3K Leica lens/sensor module or even the Twin Edition with the 360 dual lens module. All combinations are compatible with the USB external microphone adapter, so will this all work from day one as a vlogging camera? Or is it safer to wait?
