'It's been quite the year for Labour': Jeremy Corbyn's new year message

Jeremy Corbyn has issued a new year's message which has provoked anger from critics for glossing over the impact of the general election defeat for the Labour party. The Labour leader's message contains no direct reference to the election, apart from an oblique reference to it in the opening line: '2019 has been quite the year for our country and for our Labour movement'
