Solidarity Message From Ex-FARC Combatants in Colombia

Solidarity Message From Ex-FARC Combatants in Colombia A heartwarming video from two comrades in Colombia who were formerly combatants with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—People's Army (FARC-EP).

In December 2019, ANTICONQUISTA raised and sent $845 for their craft beer project named “La Trocha.” As our comrades say in the video, although they now renounce the use of arms, they still dream of and incessantly fight for social transformation and social equality.

Keep in mind that at least 77 ex-FARC combatants were killed in 2019 under the fascist government of Iván Duque. Colombia’s repressive government continues to push the country further into poverty, violence and ecological devastation. While $845 may not seem like a lot, it goes a long way for revolutionaries fighting for a better world who are under attack and trying to survive.

Earlier this year, ANTICONQUISTA raised and sent $700 to the grassroots resistance movement in Haiti. In 2018, we raised and sent $807.74 for the revolutionary independence movement in Puerto Rico.

All of this has been possible because of your tangible economic support for ANTICONQUISTA. We don’t keep a single penny! Almost all of the money we raise goes directly to our sisters and brothers in our motherland fighting imperialism. The five co-editors who run ANTICONQUISTA volunteer their time to produce content, free of charge.
