Symptoms of complicated grief Grief is a multifaceted response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or something that has died, to which a bond or affection was formed. Although conventionally focused on the emotional response to loss, it also has physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, cultural, spiritual and philosophical dimensions. There are fives stages of grief . These Five stages are like tools to frame and identifty feelings of a persons in his period of grief, according to the theory developed by psychiatrist Elisabeth Kubler Rose on her book “On Death and Dying”, these stages are: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. This theory of grief came to be known as the Kubler-Ross model, these stages of grief have been adapted for other experiences with loss, too.
