What To Do If You Continually Feel Anxious (It's Not What You Think)

What To Do If You Continually Feel Anxious (It's Not What You Think) This question came from one of the followers. He says that he began meditation and present moment awareness but still feels anxious once in a while.

The focus should be to keep intensifying the feeling of presence until you can face the anxiety head on and feel it within your own body without letting the energy take over the mind. Most of us will feel the anxiety and then the energy of the emotion will immediately energize our thoughts. This is why people often get into negative moods or a downward spiral of negative thinking. Which is a negative mood.

The key is to become more aware. Intensify your presence. Let the little things such as an irritation, or a judgment pass right through you. Do not resist the resistance.

Be okay with it and feel it.Put your full attention on it. At first it will be scary. As you live more in a state of presence and less in a state of fear and anxiety (the mind based story/self) you will be less likely to get caught in the stream of uncontrollable thinking that comes along with these intense emotions.

Bring your awareness away from thought as often as you can. Bring your attention into your breath, your senses, your inner body. Let you attention relax into its source.

When consciousness becomes aware of itself, you have found your true nature underneath the story in your mind.
