Firm On Article 370, CAA Despite Pressure, Says PM Modi Even As Protests Continue Across The Country

Ruling out a reconsideration on decisions on CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) and Article 370, PM Modi asserted that his government remains firm on its decisions. At a public gathering held in Varanasi, PM Narendra Modi said, "For years, India had been waiting for decisions like repealing Article 370 and the introduction of CAA. These decisions were necessary for the interest of the country. Despite all the pressure, we stood our ground over these decisions and will remain so." Meanwhile, Shaheen Bagh protesters marched towards Amit Shah’s residence on February 16. The protesters turned back after they were informed that their application for a meeting has been sent to the Home Minister.
