In this video we will be exploring some of the match up possibilities that we could be seeing in the women's side of boxing. Two major figure in what could determine who fights who is Katie Taylor and Claressa Shields. Taylor has been rumors of fights with Cecilia Braekhus and Amanda Serrano. Both fights would be considered mega fights for the women's division and could elevate it to another level if the fight(which ever one that takes place) lives up to it's potential. We have heard Eddie Hearn say that the Braekhus vs Taylor fight is going to happen this summer. But on the other hand, we have heard Serrano come out and say the fight with her and Taylor is all but a done deal. Never the less which ever match up we get it will effect other possible match ups. If we get the Taylor vs Serrano fight it would open up the door for a Cecilia Braekhus vs Claressa Shields fight. A match up that Shields has been calling for since she was fighting at 168. Shields even expressed that she moved down from 168 to 160 and finally to 154 for the purpose of fighting "the First Lady of boxing" and that she believes Braekhus' pursuit of a fight with Taylor is her trying to avoid Shields instead of making the fight considering Cecilia had used Shields weight as an reason the fight wouldn't happen while Shields was still campaigning at 168. But even if Braekhus does get the fight with Taylor there are several options for Shields.
Actually even if Braekhus doesn't get the Taylor fight there would still be several option for her as well outside of a Shields fight also. In fact we might see a female boxing version of musical chairs over who will be fighting who this spring and summer.
