This video is about Terrell Day in Terrell, NC 1994. It is a reflection on a community environment lost to development. Historical buildings destroyed to put in cookie cutter developments. Heritage of the south such as a magnificent Cotton Processing Gin among the destruction. The fate of the 1888 Country Store to be decided this month. This is also a testament to my parents, Jeanne and Stu Hawver who were the proprietors of the store from 1979 to the mid 1990's. They created and sustained a true heart of the town and were the hub of the community. Dad would say they were located in the Heart of downtown Terrell on Easy Street. They served the community 364 days a year and developed everlasting friendships with all of the diverse residents. THINGS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!
Check out this other video I came across of Terrell.
