On Monday, January 27th 2020, a video clip surfaced online revealing the sad state of veteran Nollywood actor Ernest Asuzu who has been down with partial stroke since 2014. The actor and rapper who is also known as El Cream according to a concerned citizen was found begging for financial assistance on the street of Lagos shirtless. In the viral video, the once-loved Nollywood actor looked sick and disorientated and couldn't speak for himself. As much as people were shocked seeing the video, one question most people who are aware of his ailment and journey are asking is, What happened after his encounter with Pastor Jeremiah of Mercyland Deliverance Minister?
Ernest Asuzu fell ill in 2014 and was spending all his money on hospital bills and medication. According to his wife, they also went from one church to another in search of deliverance to no avail. They met pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin, and he invited them to his church on June 5th, 2015. After the actor was carried into the church, he told the story of how it all began. He said he had a spiritual attack, and an invisible woman slapped him, followed by a movie producer telling him on set that he will never act again.,
After pastor Jeremiah prayed for him on June 5th 2015, Ernest stood up and walked unassisted for the first time according to his wife, who confessed it is a miracle.
After that first encounter, the full-time actor and his wife from that day, went under the care of the pastor and his ministry. The couple packed their bag and luggage from Lagos and moved to Warri Delta state for a year and three months.
The Labista actors after a few months came back to church and was looking so much better. The couple wore a matching outfit on the day and gave testimony of their spiritual healing. Ernest Asuzu confessed his life changed after meeting the pastor who took care of them for over a year.
Pastor Jeremiah of Mercyland Deliverance Ministry on behalf of his church blessed the couple with two bibles, N1.5M cash as startup capital. A brand new Toyota 4 Runner Jeep valued at N3.5M according to them and a new home in Lagos. He also asked them to come back to his church from time to time as they are now family.
The Labista actor and his wife on the day couldn't contain their excitement. They tried out the car and thanked their new family church members.
Ernest Asuzu moved on with his life and sometimes posted about the pastor on his social media page. The pastor also sponsored his 2017 new hit single which was a gospel song, but it looks like to track didn't become a hit.
Ernest and Jennifer Asuzu during their last visit to Maryland Ministery said they were grateful for all that was done for them. The thanked the pastor for fitted all their bills during their time in the church. And also thanked him for paying for a new house they moved into after going back to Lagos. Jenifa Asuzu confessed that things were getting better, awards were coming in, as well as magazine interviews and Ernest Asuzu is looking more lively and becoming like his old self again.
