Source: Interpretation of a word or words can be critical and especially when the meaning of the word or words may affect the outcome of a multi-million dollar lawsuit. I have discovered that the meaning of almost any word or group of words can be challenged and this is especially true when someone hires an attorney to argue on their behalf that the clear meaning of a word is not the same meaning as that person would like it to be.
I have discovered that you can hire an attorney to argue almost anything as long as you pay them their fee to take up your cause or to legally argue your point of view or interpretation of any given word or set of facts. I have also come to realize that the "truth" is not what some attorneys care about but getting paid rather than getting to the "truth" of a matter. In the end, it all comes down to "winning" and the "truth" takes second place to winning once you get into the courtroom.
I say this because I see this happening over and over again with one particular law firm that I have had the not so pleasurable experience of having to deal with at three (3) separate Condominium Associations in South Florida. This particular Law Firm aligns itself with the Condo President while getting paid by the Association and rather than protect the best interest of the Association ( THE CLIENT) they push the agenda of the Condo President and they continue to do it until the Association stops paying. They function, in my opinion, outside the scope of engagement and build up horrific legal costs for the Association members to pay. They have done this at two separate condominiums on Miami Beach literally just blocks away from each other and it is time they be held accountable for their actions.
I also say this as an owner in both Associations who has had their legal bills forced down my throat by out of control condo presidents who push an Agenda that is not supported by the Condominium Declarations and an agenda that this Law Firm helps push as long as they can rack up their billing hours. It is time someone stood up to protect the Condo Owners who have their legal bills forced upon them and it may be time for me, to get on my Condo Commando Uniform and take up one last battle to right this wrong that is taking place in South Florida. - Upcoming Podcasts will talk more about this Law Firm as I proceed to take legal action against them and file a Bar Complaint to report what I consider to be a total lack of ethics and professional behavior including an absolute breach of fiduciary duty to the "Client" which in every case is the Association and not the crazy Condo President.
