Coronavirus outbreak: South Korea postpones opening schools as new cases rise to almost 500 South Korea announced on Monday it would be postponing the re-opening of schools by two weeks, stating the number of underage patients with the COVID-19 virus had increased, posing health risks.

The country also announced 476 new cases, bringing the total to 4,212, with the death toll at 22.

South Korea has the largest outbreak of cases outside China.
