President Moon says S. Korea must be able to determine fate of Korean Peninsula 문 대통령, 공사 졸업•임관식 참석…"한반도 운명 스스로 결정"

Seoul should be able to decide the fate of the Korean Peninsula,... and the country's Air Force must be strengthened.
That's coming from President Moon Jae-in at a commencement and commissioning ceremony at the Air Force Academy.
We should be able to decide the fate of the Korean Peninsula on our own. There should not be gunfire ever again in the sky, on land or in the seas of the Korean Peninsula. Your role is very important in making and protecting peace with impenetrable security.
He noted this year marks the 70th anniversary of the Korean War... as well as the 20th anniversary of the June 15 declaration signed at the first ever inter-Korean summit.
Moon emphasized, the country now has to prepare against new forms of threats,... pointing to drones and unmanned aircrafts and stressed the outcome of war could depend on the innovation of the Air Force.
A total of 1-hundred-58 cadets were commissioned on Wednesday,... including four of foreign nationality.
Family members were unable to attend the event due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The ceremony was televised live.
