TYPES OF BELTS In the presentation above, we are going to learn some of the different types of belts you may find at the shopping haul or mart.

TYPES OF BELTS:
The first belts in history where worn by people of the Bronze age, between 3300 to 1200BCE. There were basically found in parts of Europe and Asia. Belts were worn as worn as accessories and later for military purposes.

Today, belts are for fashion and many pants come with a waist belt specifically designed to insert belts. Belts have potential of changing a persons dressing look.

1.Buckle belt: buckle belts were often used by people of ancient Greece and Rome as well as those in northern Europe. It was an object of special care with metalsmiths. They designed many buckles with rich and intricate designs.

Buckle belts come in all sorts of designs, shapes and sizes and can be used to tell stories. Today, they can be used to imply particular brands and are customized to widen buyers tastes and preferences.

Horseshoe buckle belt:
This was designed to resemble a look of the horse shoe. The solid brass cast imitation horse shoe buckle is beautiful and pairs perfectly with the cast brass keeper.

D ring buckle belt:
This is a belt attached to two D rings at one end of the belt. It is easy to make and wear. The belt is fastened by adding a ring between the two D rings side by side like a chain.

Military belt or pistol belt:
This belt was intended for for officers, tank crews and others that carried pistols instead of riffles in the United States.

Braided belt:
This is a wide, braided belt, woven of narrow strips of leather, fastened around the waist with a leather-framed buckle. It looks for top fashion once worn with the right attire.

Braided belts are classified according to the way their straps are made. They are made by braiding different pieces or strands of fabric or leather.

Bow belt:
House dresses and informal sector dressing in the 1950s and 60s had a tied strip in form of a belt and usually is worn by women in the United states. The bow tie belt will look good on party dresses and dresses meant for special events.

Skinny knot belt:
This is actually a small common belt but knotted by the tailor or by a person who wishes to look unique and stylish. The fastering of the belt on the person's waist is made with a knot.

Suspender belt:
In the 1820s, British designer Albert Thurston began to manufacture the first known modern day suspenders (known as "braces" in Britain). Suspender were designed for high-waisted pants.

Metal belt:
These are made of carbon steel and stainless steel. Stainless steel belts are corrosion resistant and provide and provide excellent surface quality. Stainless steel belts are used in the chemical, rubber, food, plastic industries.

Hip belt:
These are low lying belts draping loosely over the hips. They are worn by Asian brides. They come in many fashions today and look elegant and top fashion with the right dressing.
