Is Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language, still relevant? | Dr Sampadananda Mishra | TEDxPanaji

Is Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language, still relevant? | Dr Sampadananda Mishra | TEDxPanaji Many have written off Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language, whereas others portray it as the panacea for everything. In this talk, Dr Sampadanada Mishra, a Sanskrit Scholar answers the question whether Sanskrit language is still relevant. His research based arguments compels one to re look at Sanskrit in a completely new light. From launching the 24-hour Sanskrit Radio Divyavani, to founding the Samskrita Bala-Sahitya Parishad to propagate children’s literature in Sanskrit, Dr Sampadananda Mishra lives and breathes Sanskrit. As Director of Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Indian Culture, his project Sanskrit and Speech Pathology aims to create a remedial training programme based on Sanskrit sounds to help people with speech-related disorders. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
