MK3 VW GOLF SLEEPER QUICKER THAN A BUGATTI VEYRON

Joe Bristow was at VW Action at Santa Pod Raceway in his Mk3 VW Golf, which is powered by a Volvo 2.3 5 Pot engine with a GT35 turbo, and a little bit of nos, it is pushing out about 800bhp. It also uses a syncro rear axle modified to fit an S3 Quattro awd system, which has then been custom adapted to fit the Volvo gearbox. A standard Bugatti Veyron runs the 1/4 mile in 10.1, where as Joe constantly dips into the 9's, with a new PB at this event, of 9.81 @ 145mph.
