Beijing satisfied with phase one trade deal with the U.S.

Beijing says the phase one deal satisfies both the interests of China and the U.S. and that it fulfills the international community's expectations. Under the deal, which was announced earlier this month, the U.S. would agree to reduce some tariffs in exchange for China purchasing American agricultural products. U.S. President Donald Trump also responded to the progress on December 21.
