‘JK Rowling is being accused of transphobia for simply defending a woman who’s lost her job’

Women’s rights campaigner Stephanie Davies-Arai has defended Harry Potter author JK Rowling who has come under fire for supporting a researcher who lost her job for tweeting that transgender people cannot change their biological sex.
Maya Forstater lost her job in March after she posted tweets opposing government proposals to reform the Gender Recognition Act to allow people to identify as the opposite sex.
