Tourists from China and India will be granted a 15-day visa-free travel to Malaysia from January 1 to December 31 2020 in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2020, according to the Malaysian government. But then they have to pay $22 as Visa processing Fee.

Each application can only be used once, and no extension is allowed. Re-application is available for the same short-term visa 45 days after they leave Malaysia.

Tourists may apply through the government's visa application website Electronic Travel Registration and Information (eNTRI). Once registered, tourists can travel to Malaysia within 90 days.

The tourist can enter Malaysia and exit from Malaysia only through authorized airports

or at seven border crossings:

1: Sultan Iskandar Building, Johor
2: Johor Bahru railway station
3: Immigration control post at Kompleks Sultan Abu Bakar, Tanjung Kupang, Johor
4: Padang Besar, Perlis
5: Bukit Kayu Itam, Changloon, Kedah
6: Sungai Tujoh, Sarawak
7: Immigration control post at Tedungan in Limbang, Fifth Division, Sarawak.

The following documents are required to be presented upon arrival at the Malaysia’s Entry checkpoints:

1. Electronic Travel Registration and Information (eNTRI) Note
2. Boarding Pass
3. Confirmed tickets coming in and leaving Malaysia
4. Sufficient funds (Cash/Debit or credible Credit Cards)
5. Complete travel itinerary
6. Proof of residence in Malaysia
