This episode provided 10 tips on how to collect a specific OEM or Manufacturer, focusing on them only for a period of time or just one of their models. I use my own Castle Ferrari focus for 2020 which will include about 70 different Ferrari modesl (57 so far) in 1:64 diecast scale. Tips for buying on ebay, displaying the collection, getting good deals, and making it all the most fun possible are covered.

have to do it in something like 1:64 diecast scale. I search all over the world for the finest models in 1:64 of all the world's great cars, ranging from 50 cent flea market finds to
$50.00 imports. I'm sharing this adventure with you and hope I can learn from you as much as I share.
About the author: I've collected diecast cars since 1962 as a little boy when I first say Matchbox cars in a drugstore display. Begged my aunt to buy me the Rolls
Royce Corniche in teal blue with the yellow windscreen. I had to have more and soon did. My timing was great as Hot Wheels came out first in 1968 and soon
Johnny Lightning in 1969. I remember having a chase with my buddies and cousin on who'd be the first to get the HW Jack Rabbit and Red Baron cars. I won the
Red Baron race but lost by weeks in the Jack Rabbit pride.Now in 2020 as a supposed adult at 60 years old I have over 4000 different models, selling off parts of my collection
in one area to expand into another.Today and for the last 20 years my main focus has been "real cars" or what is sometimes called OEM collecting, meaning I don't
buy the fantasy, racing, truck, and made-up models. Often I focus on one OEM or model a year. My focus of late has been the best quality model for each car model such as the
very best S500 or finest made Chiron in 1:64 scale. I've had years emphaizing VW, Corvette, Audi, Lotus etc. 2006-2010 was Cadillac. 2018 was Mercedes and Porsche. Last year in 2019 was Lamborghini and
2020 is Ferrari.
