In this video, we are exciting to present to you the Top 10 Most sparsely Populated Countries in Africa in 2020. Africa is the second largest and second most populated Continent after Asia with over 1.2 billion inhabitants scarttered amongst its 54 sovereign countries. Though there are so many people on the continent, there population are not evenly distributed. These are some African countries with High population density while there are other with extremely low population density. The population density of a county is determined by dividing the total population of that country by its area of land. The largest country in Africa by surface area is Algeria while Nigeria is the most populous African Country.
The continent has an average population density of 94 persons per square mile. However, the population density ranges across the 54 countries within the continent.

10. Niger – population Density - 19.31/km2

Officially the Republic of the Niger, Nigeria is a landlocked country in West Africa named after the Niger River. Niger is bordered by Libya to the northeast, Chad to the east, Nigeria to the south, Benin to the southwest, Burkina Faso and Mali to the west, and Algeria to the northwest. Niger covers a land area of almost 1,270,000 km2, making it the largest country in West Africa. Over 80% of its land area lies in the Sahara Desert. The country's predominantly Muslim population of about 22 million live mostly in clusters in the far south and west of the country. Niger is currently the 10th most sparsely populated country in Arica with a population density of 19.1 people per km2. The capital and largest city is Niamey, located in Niger's southwest corner.

The Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville or simply the Congo, is a country located in the western coast of Central Africa. It is bordered by five countries: Gabon to its west; Cameroon to its northwest and the Central African Republic to its northeast; the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the southeast and the Angolan exclave of Cabinda to its south; and the Atlantic Ocean to its southwest. The population of Mali is 19.1 million. 67% of its population was estimated to be under the age of 25 in 2017. Its capital cityis Bamako. The sovereign state of Mali consists of eight regions and its borders on the north reach deep into the middle of the Sahara Desert, while the country's southern part, where the majority of inhabitants live, features the Niger and Senegal rivers. With a population density of About 11.7 people per km2, Mali is currently the 9th most sparsely populated country in Africa.

7. Chad – population Density – 8.6/km2
Chad officially known as the Republic of Chad , is a landlocked country in north-central Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest, and Niger to the west. Chad is one of the largest country in Africa with a total surface area of about 1.2 million km2. With a population of about 13.6 million people, the country currently occupies the 7th place with a population density of about 8.6 people per km2.

6. Central Africa Republic – Population Density - 701/km2

The Central Africa Republic is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the east, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the south, the Republic of the Congo to the southwest and Cameroon to the west. The CAR covers a land area of about 620,000 square kilometres and had an estimated population of around 4.7 million as of 2018. The country is one of the poorest in the region despite his capita city Njamena being one of the most expensive citites in Africa. With a population density of 7.1 People per km2, the country is the 6th most sparcely populated country in Africa.
