The so called “Steggall bill” will aim to increase emissions reduction targets “via a so-called independent commission,” which is “not accountable to the people,” said Ms Credlin.
Australians have continuously said “no” to a rapid increase in action towards climate change including to “Labor’s 45 per cent emissions reduction target” and their “50 per cent renewables target” at the 2019 election she said.
Ms Credlin said “there is far too much determined by unelected officials,” and Ms Steggal’s potential “private member’s bill” will make “a bad situation much worse”.
