For any copyright, please send me a message. Niall Horan found it ‘tough’ writing some of the break-up songs on his new album Heartbreak Weather. Niall’s second solo album is believed to have been inspired by his split from Hailee Steinfeld in 2018 and Niall admitted he had a hard time penning some of the more emotional tracks. Speaking about the song, Put A Little Love On Me, Niall told The Sun: ‘I wrote it when it was raining and it’s like, “I’m sad, we’re finished, put a little love on me”. ‘It was one of those ones which was a tough write. It was very early and it was very raw when I was writing it.’ The 26-year-old also admitted Arms Of A Stranger detailed the feeling of trying to get over a lost love with the help of someone new. He explained: ‘Arms Of A Stranger is more concept-based and is that feeling of when you do finish up with someone. It’s that feeling of, “we’re done and now I’m lying in the arms of a stranger, trying to get over you.”‘ The One Direction star also revealed the track Everywhere was inspired by his own experience of being haunted by the memories of ex. He admitted that after breaking up with a certain someone, he would see them everywhere (the name’s making sense now). Niall dated Hailee for around a year before calling time on their romance back in December 2018. He’s recently been linked to Selena Gomez but for the love of God, don’t mention the rumours to him ok? They’re JUST MATES. Niall cracked out an exasperated ‘here we go again’ while talking about a petition fans set up to get him and Selena to be a thing. He said on KIIS FM’s The Kyle And Jackie O Show last month: ‘This petition I feel like has been going on for I think eight years. ‘Myself and Selena are really good friends with the same group of mates.’ And that time the singer was spotted at his house? There were about ’15 other people’ there, it turns out. He continued: ‘I remember I saw this stupid article a while ago of her walking out of my house or walking into my house or something like that and everyone was like, ”Oh they’re together”. ‘There was also about 15 other people in there for a barbecue. It’s just typical absolute useless nonsense.’ So there. Got a story?
